Yes! I've just seen the boarders in Greece will open on June 15th and I am so HAPPY, like a RESURRECTION... My masks and gloves are right now in my luggages and ready to go! Besides Greece had manage very well the Covid19 Pandemics with only 175 deaths and 2 906 cases, so it is a safe summer destination.

And for those like me who are planning their trip, here it is some advices to save money and time with transportation.
When you will arrive at the Athens Airport, you will have clear and detailed information about trains time schedule and clear signs for the train station directions. Taking the train is the best way to join the city. Buses are too crowded. Unfortunately, there is a real lack of tickets costs details, but just walk and follow the train station direction signs until you'll arrive at the tickets vending machine.

Here, you can easily buy your ticket in many languages.

After checking on all the rates, I recommend the 3-day tourist ticket for all public transport including 2 journey from airport to the city at 22€.
A 2 ways Airport to the city costs 18€. For just 4€ additional, you can have an access to all public transportation in Athens. It is worth it! Athens is big enough and you will have to walk a lot during your visits of their sights so you will love to have a rest in the metro between 2 visits.
The good deal
PLUS, with this pass, the counter begins at the moment you use the first time your ticket and not the day you're beginning to use it. That can make a big difference specifically if you arrive on the evening.

For more information about the tickets rate, check the Athens metro company website Here
Enjoy your stay!
