You are at Thessaloniki airport and you are looking for a way to get to the center of Thessaloniki. Here is everything you need to know about transportation between the airport and the center.
1. Taxi
As in France, Greek public transportation is not very developed. On the other hand, taxis are plentiful and they are the first that can be found when leaving the airport. They are Blue and white. You can count around 20 to 30 € for a trip to the center. But if the crowd does not scare you and you want to save 20 € then go on and follow your way.

2. Bus
Behind the taxis station you will find the bus station and its counter. A long queue in front of you has formed to buy a ticket. Don't panic, you can buy your ticket on the bus if you have change.

2 € for a trip.
Bus X1 takes you to the center and looses the whole center to Thessaloniki central station. It stops at all the main squares of the city.
You've got a bus every 30min
A night bus, the N1, also loops the airport.

PLEASE NOTE: when you buy a ticket on the bus, you can choose between a € 1 ticket or a € 2 ticket for bus 78 and 45.
Now X1 = bus 78. This is the old name of the line, and the machines are not updated.
So your ticket is good at 2 € for an airport-center journey, whether you buy it at a counter at the airport or on the bus.
Have a nice stay in Thessaloniki!
