When your country has to lockdown to solve the coronavirus issue, you probably already choose a subscription to Netflix. And to me What's make the difference between TV channels or other streaming movies sites is that Netflix is available in over 190 countries (basically everywhere except China, Crimea, North Korea and Syria). That means if you have a Netflix subscription, you can stream movies and TV shows from the service nearly anywhere in the world. Their contents are so diversified and so large that helps you to escape not only with all the differents stories they propose but also with the difference of cultures between all those Netflix productions.
Indeed, every country produce their own series or movies and some of them will use this opportunity to introduce their homeland to the world to make people discover their city or country.

#1 Taiwan, super country
Let's begin with the super star country of the moment, Taiwan! This country has actually one of the best health system in the world to respond against covid19 with only 6 deaths and 429 cases despite its very close localisation from China and all of that without any shelter in place orders since the beginning of the pandemic.
So to discover this super country, I recommend you to watch three Netflix series
The Victims' Game
This is the last new Taiwanese thriller on Netflix, released next month and probably one of the best Netflix series of this year!
The story : After discovering a link between his daughter and the mysterious murders, a forensic expert with Asperger's syndrome risks everything to resolve the case.
The very interesting and refreshing point of these series is the way the main character with Asperger's syndrome is playing, trying to integrated in the society, and do his best to find her daughter and do what he likes the most his job, despite the difficulties is facing in every days life and with his relationship with colleagues and family. This is a very humble way to let us know that every one has to manage with his own weaknesses and do the best to fight against, this point of view is so Taiwanese and so respectful to people. Just for that point this thriller really worth to watch!
On the other hand, the series are very captivating with victims who aren't the victims and murderers who might not be murderers…
A Taiwanese Tale of Two Cities
On a totally different note, this drama is about a young woman Doctor in Chinese medicine living in Taipei who dreams to move in San Francisco. With this drama you can discover the city of Taipei and specifically one of the oldest district, the Dadaocheng neighborhood.
This story is also reflected the specific Taiwanese culture which always see the western society like a dream and a better place to live despite the very good development and very high level of the Taiwanese civilization and the culture shock this difference between the dream and the reality could be...
A Thousand Goodnights
These long series in 20 episodes will let you discover all the beautiful landscapes of the country. The story is about the two daughters of a recently dead Chief Train station who want to follow the trip their dad has planned just before dying. Then along of those 20 episodes, viewers will discover with the Train station chief's daughters and their friends the unknown country of Taiwan and its heritage and culture which a lot of western people still confuse with Thailand or China.
